In addition to being a teacher, I'm an artist. (Or maybe in addition to being an artist, I'm a teacher...)
A bit about my artwork: I've had my work displayed in art shows, galleries, and local venues. I've sold many paintings, greeting cards, and drawings. Two coffee shops in New York City sell my greeting cards right now and I'm actively looking for more partnerships. My truest love is painting large scale, however, and I love painting food as a subject matter and mimicking text. If you want to know why, click here! Also, I often get asked to paint portraits of beloved pets and that's fun too. One other way I express my creativity is in floors... I LOVE painting a floor.
My ambitions now, in addition to my teaching schedule, are: to continue developing bodies of work that come from the heart, to create new greeting cards, and to paint more floors! I'd also like to add many art forms to my repertoire! I'd like to learn about making mosaics, stained glass, cyanotypes, basket weaving, and on and on!
Please look around my portfolio to see a sampling of my style and skillset. I am accepting commissions of all kinds.
